ALGGi – A GIS Shared Service in the Auckland region

Auckland Local Government Geospatial information (ALGGi) is a representation of GIS managers and professionals from each of the 8 local authorities within the Auckland region.  The group meets monthly and reports to the Chief Executive Forum of the region as part of a shared services initiative.

The ALGGi group has a strategy in place that encourages joint data capture or purchase, sharing of ideas and skill sets, the creation of common standards for like data collection along with keeping up to date with relevant initiatives in the GIS arena.
